Armenian Young Lawyers Association

The "Armenian Young Lawyers Association" (AYLA) NGO was founded in 1995, by a group of students from the faculty of law at Yerevan State University with other young lawyers. It has been registered as a non-governmental organization in the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia on 14 March, 1995, and re-registered on 23 May 1997, 14 December 1999, and 27 December 2002 respectively. The organization was established having the aim of coordinating the efforts of its members and supporters, as well as of the new generation of lawyers, to promote the establishment of Armenia as a sovereign, democratic, legal and social state.

    Today Vayots Dzor ACC, which is operated by the Armenian young lawyers Association NGO in the framework of “Armenia Against Corruption” project, organized a seminar on “Corruption Risks in Social Security Sphere in Vayots Dzor Marz of the RA.”
  • Letter of Agreement signed between the “Armenia Against Corruption” Project and the Office of the Human Rights Defender of the RA
    “Armenia Against Corruption” Project implemented by the Armenian young Lawyers Association NGO and the Office of the Human Rights Defender of the RA will carry out a joint struggle aimed at the protection of human rights and to decrease the corruption risks.

    Official ceremony of signing the Letter of Agreement between Armenian Young Lawyers Association and the Administration of the RA Lori Marz took place on March 14, 2012.

Important events

On 14 June the conference “Judicial Reforms in Transformation States – 20 Years of IRZ Foundation” took place in the jury courtroom of the Regional Court of Bonn before a high-ranking national and international audience of legal experts as a kick-off for the events celebrating the IRZ’s 20th anniversary.

Success stories

In April 2015, Mrs. Haykanush Tutunjyan, an employee of “Nairit” Plant, applied to the Armenian Young Lawyers Association with request to lodge a claim against “Nairit” Plant
