Monitoring report of the Action Plan for 2020-2022 deriving from National Strategy for Human Rights Protection has been published
On 26 December, 2019, the Government of the Republic of Armenia approved the National Strategy for the Protection of Human Rights and the resulting Action Plan for 2020-2022.
The strategy covers 13 areas of human rights: the right to life, the prohibition of tortures, the right to a fair trial, equality of rights and non-discrimination, the right to health, the right to education, freedom of assembly, freedom of expressing an opinion, the right to employment, the right to social security and minimal living conditions, the rights of the child, the freedom of economic activity and strategic communication. In total, the Action Plan includes 89 actions to be implemented for different periods, starting from 2020 to 2022. 44 actions are planned to be implemented starting from the first half of 2020.
